"Annie" is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents who
abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York Orphanage run by the
cruel Miss Hannigan. In one funny, tuneful adventure after another, Annie
foils Miss Hannigan's evil plans, befriends President Franklin D Roosevelt
and finds a new home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks and the lovable mutt,
Sandy. This heartwarming show is a sure crowd-pleaser for the whole family.

National Infant Immunization Week
The Utah County Health Department (UCHD), with the help of the Utah National
Guard, will be encouraging families to Arm Yourself Against Disease during
National Infant Immunization Week, April 21st to 25th. On Tuesday, April
22nd, the UCHD will hold a special health fair with exhibits from the Utah
National Guard, games, drawings for bikes and other prizes, and displays for
kids ages up to age 5. The fair will be held at the Utah County Health and
Justice Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. For more details, go to

Why my booster seat is cool
Utah County Health Department Announces…
…the “Why my booster seat is cool!” essay contest for children 5 to 12 years
old. The new booster seat law, which goes into effect May 5, 2008, requires
all children up to age 8 to sit in a booster seat. “Why my booster seat is
cool!” campaign asks participants to explain why they think their booster
seat is neat. The essay can explain features, safety, personal reasons, etc.
We are asking that children write a one page essay answering the question
“Why my booster seat is cool” for your grade group and attach it to the
entry form. There will be three (3) essay winners from each grade group that
will be chosen and notified on April 28, 2008. Entry forms can be found
online at
www.co.utah.ut.us and are due no later than April 26th. The Grand Prize
award will be an air hockey table provided by RC Willey, Second Prize will
be a scooter and helmet provided by Life Skills Nutritional, and Third Prize
will be a Dream Castle gift package, Pier 49 Pizza coupon.

For the past several months, UDOT has listened to public input and studied
the transportation needs and impacts of a new east-west roadway/transit
corridor in northwestern Utah County between Redwood Road and I-15.
UDOT has studied a number of alternative solutions. On April 10, the
East-West Connector team will hold an open house to show the public the
final design, what the next steps will be and provide a final opportunity to
comment on the design and the environmental study.

The Garden of Hope Women's Health Fair
PROVO, UTAH (March 13, 2007) - - The Utah County Health Department's (UCHD)
annual women's health fair, "The Garden of Hope," will once again offer fun
and free services to all women between the ages of 40-64.
"This is an annual tradition for women in Utah County," said Jackie
Evans-Black, UCHD bureau director. "Besides the clinics and information
displays, there are lots prizes, activities and fun."
Free and low cost services will be provided, including:

- Blood Sugar and Oxygen Levels
- Blood Pressure Checks
- Diet and Exercise Information

This is a special event for women 40-64, so bring your friends and neighbors

The Garden of Hope will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 2nd and
3rd at the Utah County Health and Justice Building. It is located at 151 S

Utah Lake Commission
Awake, Utah Lake! The Utah Lake Commission will be holding public
meetings in the next few weeks to introduce the Utah Lake Master Plan
project. The meetings will be held in an open-house format to introduce the
project, answer questions, and solicit public input on the issues and
opportunities the planning project should address. The first meeting will be
held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Lehi Senior
Citizen’s Center located at 123 North Center Street, Lehi. A second meeting
will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Utah
Lake State Park located at 4400 West Center Street, Provo. Members of the
Utah Lake Commission, its committees, and the consulting team will be
present to discuss the project and answer questions. These meetings will be
the first of several opportunities for the public to participate in the
development of the Utah Lake Master Plan. We hope you will plan to attend.
